At Circles INDY, we build intentional relationships among people from all walks of life to help individuals build resources and achieve their unique goals and dreams. Over time, incomes improve, debt and public assistance decreases, and long-lasting transformational friendships are built that strengthen the entire community.
Circles® is a national relationship-based movement to help communities become educated about the causes of poverty and the barriers that keep people in poverty and directly helps individuals and families living in poverty to achieve self-sufficiency. Circles is in more than 70 communities throughout the U.S. and Canada (www.circlesusa.org).
Circles was started in Indy in 2010 with sponsorship by The Julian Center through 2015. Since January 2016, a new nonprofit, BRiCKs Alliance Inc., is the 501(c)(3) home of Circles® INDY.
Building Relationships in Community is Key because we are better together. This is the inherent belief of BRiCKs Alliance, Inc., an intergenerational 501(c)3 organization that aims to influence the volunteering experience and build social connectedness that results in stronger communities.
At BRiCKs Alliance, we know that everyone has an inherent need to feel connected, but barriers exist. BRiCKS sponsors Circles Indy (a chapter of Circles USA) as a successful example of intentional, cross-community friendships that equip and inspire families to permanently move out of poverty and thrive.
